Borough Market’s Evening of Cheese returns this year with fromage fanatics able to sample and buy a huge variety of produce from the weird and wonderful Blau’s Hirni to Banon, Comte to Caerphilly as well as a selection of wines, ciders and chutneys.
Slow Food Alliance chef, Theo Randall of Theo Randall at The InterContinental Park Lane will be giving the public a one hour demonstration between 6.30 – 7.30pm, showcasing Bianca e Mora’s famous Red Cow Parmesan cheese (Parmigiano Reggiano Vacche Rosse) -winner of best product category in the Slow Food London Awards 2015. Theo, an advocate for preserving traditional cheese production methods will be offering samples of his tagliata di manzo and chestnut risotto, cooked live at the demo kitchen in the Market Hall.
Over 20 of the Market’s world-class cheesemongers will be on hand to impart their expert knowledge of the craft as well as recipes and recommendations for top food and drink pairings. There will also be hot cider, wine and beer available for those who want to wash their Wensleydale down with something refreshing.
