Rachael Cohen brings together a serious line up with her quartet - featuring her longtime collaborators Joe Downard and Shane Forbes, alongside vibraphonist Lewis Wright. Here they debut an exciting set of compositions from the pen of Rachael Cohen, recently recorded and awaiting release this year.

Rachael has been a mainstay on the London jazz scene since 2013, moving here after her studies at Birmingham conservatoire. She released her critically acclaimed record ‘Halftime’ in 2013 on whirlwind recordings after being the first women signed to the now internationally recognised label, and she been working extensively abroad, and in the UK at clubs such as Ronnie Scott’s ever since.
"I write for every band I put together, composition is as natural as playing for me, so I’m always super excited to debut new music that no one has heard before. The band are killer - Joe Downard (double bass) and Shane Forbes (Drums) I have been working with in various formations for years. They are incredible musicians. As is Lewis (vibraphone) who I have got to know through Shane and their band Empirical. I’ve been waiting to put a serious project together with them for a long time and we’re really happy to have just finished doing record together too, so that will be main focus of this gig." - Rachael Cohen
