We are over the moon to welcome one of London's most exciting chefs, John Chantarasak, to Salon for the next of our collaborative dinners on Tuesday 24^th November.

The YBF Chef of the Year nominee has made quite a name for himself over the past year or so. 'One half English, the other half Thai' (as his social media handle declares), John's approach is all about fusing traditional Thai cookery with contemporary techniques and seasonal produce.

Alongside chef Andy Oliver at som saa, John was instrumental in helping the Thai pop-up at Climpson's Arch in Hackney become one of London's biggest restaurant success stories in 2015. Not only did som saa build an almost cult-like following of regulars, it also received across-the-board glowing reviews from bloggers and critics alike.

Before that, he worked at some of Asia's most applauded restaurants such as Opposite Mess Hall and nahm in Bangkok, as well as a number of other noted UK restaurants such as Casamia in Bristol.

For this collaboration, John will be bringing his infectious enthusiasm for bold, authentic Thai flavours to Salon, collaborating with Nicholas Balfe and the Salon team on a five-course menu that will join the dots between South East Asian techniques, applied to seasonal, locally sourced, British ingredients.

As if that wasn't enough, we are also very excited to be able to welcome guest Sommelier Coco Stebbings, formerly of Lyles and the River Cafe, who will be picking her favourite wines especially for the event.
