    Description

    Every second Tuesday!

Collage (from the French: coller, "to glue";[1] French pronunciation: [kɔ.laʒ]) is a technique of an art production, primarily used in the visual arts, where the artwork is made from an assemblage of different forms, thus creating a new whole; coined by both Georges Braque and Pablo Picasso in the beginning of the 20th century when collage became a distinctive part of modern art.

The cut-up technique (or découpé in French) is an aleatory literary technique in which a written text is cut up and rearranged to create a new text. The concept can be traced to at least the Dadaists of the 1920s, but was popularized in the late 1950s and early 1960s by writer William S. Burroughs, and has since been used in a wide variety of contexts.

It's proven that collage has therapeutical effect, and can make you feel better and concentrate your thoughts while enjoying the process.

Here at Paper Fetish, we have found a connection between these two techniques and invite all collage artists, painters, poets, writers, photographers, creators, and kids (in age and heart!) to join us for a night of creativity!
We organize inspiring events and provide all the necessary materials: paper, scissors, glue, and lots of old & new magazines, posters, photo books, travel guides, and other visual material. In this project, we are giving our old books & paper a second life avoiding excessive waste and upcycling rubbish into art.

The best collage works will be included at out collective zine, to be published in April 2019.
