Description
This is a train-assisted ride to Hartswood Ancient Woodland, Thorndon Country Park, Lakeside and Rainham Marshes.
We will meet at Liverpool Street Station, Platform 4, to catch the 9.36 train to Brentwood, arriving at 10.11am. We then do a 23 mile ride from Brentwood to Rainham. The 22 mile cycle route can be downloaded from here: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/37685414
The route takes us the St. Mary the Virgin Church, Great Warley, so we can stop to take a look at it. We will avoid going down Childerditch Lane, as it is impossible for cyclists to cross A127 on that route.
The ride finishes at Rainham Station, where there is a regular train service back to Fenchurch Street.
Ride pictures are posted on our Facebook page.
