Description
The Cinnamon Cafe in Windsor is the mother of all bike cafes and visiting it is a "must do" activity for all cyclists. So we will be doing a ride there.
To join this ride you can take a train from Paddington, Platform 14, which leaves at 9.57am and arrives at West Drayton (Zone 6) at 10.17am.
The 20 mile route can be downloaded from here: https://ridewithgps.com/routes...
The route is based on one used for a Let's Ride ride that took place on Sat Feb 5th. However, it has been adapted to make it more accessible to those who are not residents of North West London.
We will pass through Harmondsworth, where there is a mediaeval barn. We can show people where it is, but unfortunately we will not be able to go in, as it is only open on some Sundays: https://www.english-heritage.o...
The length of the route is similar to the length of a Southwark Healthy Ride +, but, as you might have guessed, there is a difference - it will not be taking place in Southwark, despite the branding of our cycling group.
I have been told that this ride used to be the "jewel in the crown" of Hillingdon Cyclists, but unfortunately as this borough doesn't have a cycling website, it has not been possible for me to confirm this.
