Celebrating all things Italian, The Hampstead Jazz Club has partnered with La Gaffe Restaurant to offer a fixed Aperitivo menu before presenting Aficionado and world renowned Italian Saxophonist Renato Aiello with his quartet and a special performance by the fabulous Deelee Dube’Renato Aiello


Born in Naples 1959. Renato began to study the saxophone on 1979 at the age of 20, with virtuoso sax player Antonio Andolfi, then with Sal Nistico, Steve Grossman, Tony Scott.

He started his professional career playing with Giovanni Tommaso's big band for Pupi Avati’s tv program in 1986/87.

During his long and acclaimed musical career, Renato has performed sold-out International tours together with collaborations with another great saxophonist Tony Scott, as well as touring in Japan for several years with the Yoshida Masahiro trio. Following on, he reached the shores of Europe where he toured with Art Farmer and Rachel Gould in 1996/97.

Renato is not only a virtuoso saxophonist, but is a composer/songwriter in his own right, and to his credit has created great pieces of music for the stage and recordings, with one of his most accredited pieces being his composition of music for an opera entitled “Seven Red Doors” by writer Oberto Airaudi and several co-productions for IRMA Records as sax player and producer.

Renato has played with a number of world class musicians in his career, including:

Husband, P. Jacobsen, S. Melling, Gilad Atzmon, P. Robson, John Chritchinson, Patrice Galas.

As he became a UK resident, he continued to feature in London's top live music hotspots which included: The Late Night Show at ROnnie scott, Upstairs at the Ronnie Scott’s Bar, The Royal Festival Hall foyer, Jazz Cafe’, The Vortex, The Barbican foyer, Wigmore Hall, The National Theatre Foyer, Pizza Express Dean street, Pizza Express Maidstone, The Crypt camberwell, The Crypt St.Martin In fields Trafalgar Square, Pizza on the park, Jazz Cafe’ Posk, Primo Bar at Hotel Plaza westminster,Italian Cultural Institute Of London, 606 Club

Deelee Dubé - The first British winner of the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition, Deelee Dubé makes her second visit to Hampstead jazz club. Deelee, who established her London reputation with tenor saxophonist Renato D’Aiello at Ronnie Scott's Acoustic Jazz Lounge. will also perform a selection of her favourite standards and a couple of originals with Renato.

Please note, The Club is not licensed to allow access to Children under the age of 16 after 9pm, so for evening performances, please do not book tickets for children under the age of 16. Children aged 16 and above are welcome at any time.

Seats are not numbered and you will be seated at available tables. Please note tables seat 4 people, so for bookings of less than 4 people, you will be seated and share a table for 4.

For £15.00 Tickets:

This is a fully seated event.  Seats are not numbered and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.

  • I have not received my ticket via email. What should I do?

    The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services.
