Red October

Oct 20 2018 10:30 - 18:00

Friends Meeting House Manchester, Mount Street 6, M2 5NS Manchester

Manchester Momentum presents: RED OCTOBER

A one day politics and culture conference discussing the theory and solutions for building a left movement that will transform our Party, our society and our planet.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

With the socialist left ascendant in the UK for the first time in over a generation, it is vital that we come together to celebrate our successes, discuss the challenges we face, and set out a road map for the future.

In collaboration with fellow activists, trade unionists, journalists and academics from across the UK, Manchester Momentum's RED OCTOBER will be asking -

How can we build a new economic system that isn't shackled by the constraints of the single market and neoliberalism? What role will popular culture play in bringing people together to build class solidarity and transform society? Why trade unions will play a vital role in protecting workers rights in these tumultuous political times. And what the future holds for the new radical left.

Come and discuss all this and more on Saturday October 20th at the Friends Meeting House in Manchester.
