Move differently, think differently.

Does your movement inspire your way of thinking, or do you find life a struggle?

Is your body able to express on a day to day basis it’s full potential of energy? Are you aware of just how physically and mentally strong you are and the endless possibilities of movement you are capable of?

Speaking from my own experiences, I’ve struggled with body image throughout most of my life (like the majority of world!), believing it was a slim body I was searching for, leading me to be something that I was not. Trying to fit in and be accepted, I’ve searched a whole spectrum of thoughts and ideas to gain clarity. And it was through my recent immersion and study at Budokon University, Miami, that the constructs created in my mind by the adults who nurtured me growing up and the ones I had cultivated myself as protection were keeping me in a place of unfulfillment. These thoughts were creating my ultimate world, a world which really wasn’t true. I realised the way that I thought was the way that I moved, and when I began to challenge the way that I moved, I challenged my entire thought process and world I had created. And with that came a whole new fluid way of moving and thinking.

In conjunction with the New Moon, a time to plant the seeds for long lasting intentions, please join me on Sunday 23rd July (10am - 4pm), for a day of movement which will include mobility and animal locomotion, bioenergetic movement through the energy centres of the body, calisthenics and martial arts, finishing with Budokon Yoga and a deep, guided relaxation. We will be challenging that which makes us raw, causing us to run away from challenges, and rise up into our wild and glorious selves.

There will be opportunities to share how you feel about your body, and to share the voices that hold you back so you can fully engage with the intention of this workshop, cultivating your personal strength.

I am going to challenge you emotionally and physically so YOU can build a better relationship with your body. A challenge you may have run away from for most of your life locking you in the rawness of your emotions and subduing your wild self.

The workshop will take place at the Lovegrove Centre, South Woodford. A wild place we can play, experiment and move freely.
