It's the annual H&T Hackney battle of the wordsmiths! A team of poets and a team of rappers will go head-to-head to see which genre has the best way with words. It will be happening live in the Book Club, Shoreditch. However, if, for whatever reason, you are unable to attend in person, you can still see the show online. Buy a ticket here at a price you can afford and you will get a Zoom link on the day with access to the whole event.
Rappers:
Tony D: 3 x Don't Flop rap battle champion, Poisonous Poet, and legend of UK hip hop known for his slick wordplay
Jaz Kahina: East London rapper who came up in open mics of the UK HipHop scene throughout the 00s. She brings a sharp tongue and feisty attitude that might make the poets wary!
Reload: Wolverhampton-born, NW London residing MC who straddles many genres and styles. Storyteller, street commentator and R.E.A.L rapper.
Poets:
Keith Jarrett: Former UK and Rio International poetry slam champion, extremely talented writer and performer.
Amy McAllister: Dublin-born poet and actor, Amy's poems are funny, clever and distinctively her own.
Y.A. Poet: Flo poet and international slam champion from the New Yorican poets cafe
