Queer sex is political, transgressive, and something we have to fight for, because it continues to be misunderstood by the straight world. But it’s also joyful, a way of exploring and celebrating ourselves and our connections to fellow queer souls. And porn can be an amazing way of showcasing this.
Join sex educator Ruby Rare for an evening that'll spark your imagination and will hopefully enrich your perceptions of porn. We’ll watch some of their favourite films from the indie porn world, learn about the history of queer pornography, and reflect on what it means to commune with images of the queer sexual body alongside one another.
A final bit of housekeeping - this evening will show sexually explicit content, so it’s 18+ and not suitable for those with delicate dispositions. While we’re watching sexy films, this isn’t a sex party, it’s a warm and welcoming space for all queer folks. Respect, care and consent are fundamental principles of this event, and all attendees are expected to uphold them. The organisers reserve the right to ask anyone to leave should their behaviour be in breach of these principles.
