On 14 October 2022 Rachael Dadd is to release her brand new studio album ‘Kaleidoscope’. The record is her second album for Memphis Industries and follows 2019’s 'Flux', which was released to much acclaim and which she was touring when the pandemic struck.
Like so many people disconnected from their communities and struggling through the lockdowns, Rachael Dadd turned inwards, seeking escape through music and connection through songwriting, and her hope is that when people listen to ‘Kaleidoscope' “they will feel held and find space to breathe, grieve and celebrate.”

Maja Lena
The repetitive motions of walking, seed planting, sweeping can be really beneficial to writing music, and for Maja Lena, working on a no dig permaculture vegetable growing project and for a natural horsemanship yard give plenty of time for her imagination to run wild.
“I do a lot of my songwriting whilst working outdoors, often humming melodies to myself, thinking about lyrics while I’m going about my chores”.
Immersion in the natural world has always influenced her creativity, it was a dominant force in her earlier writing with alt-folk outfits Low Chimes and Hot Feet as well as her debut solo album The Keeper, from last year.

Tobias Sarra...
Tobias is an interdisciplinary artist/performer, working across mediums and genres. As a musician, he draws on influences from the worlds of free improvisation, experimental ambience, folk and traditional world music, hip hop, avant-pop and naive art. His music pays particular attention to small, subtle sounds, allowing incidental background noise to filter through recordings and into the ambience of his music.
