    Description

    • In this class, you will get step-by-step instruction from Duygu Turgut Gokpinar on the fundamentals of how to use a punch needle, how to create a pattern and transfer it onto the fabric. Besides detailed information about the materials such as yarn, fabric, frames and hoops will be provided. The class will last about 2.5 hours and you will be leaving with a finished project once the workshop is over. You can take your project home and either turn it into a wall hanging, a cushion, bag, coaster and many other items. 

    Beginner Level / 2.5 hours

    All the materials are included in this workshop. Material Bundle will include:

    30x30 wooden frame
    Adjustable punch needle
    Fabric covered frame
    Yarn (for common use)


    Scissors, pencils, tape etc. for all the participants will be provided so you do not need to bring any other material or tools.

    In this class you will:
      • learn how to use the punch needle
      • learn how to design a pattern suitable for punch needle embroidery
      • learn how to transfer pattern onto fabric
      • get detailed information about the supplies
      • be aware of key points of this embroidery
      • have a chance to explore different samples
      • learn how to finish and transform a project

      Organiser

      Duygu is a DIY projects developer whose main profession is teaching and she started sharing her “do it yourself” ideas on her YouTube channel “Duygu’s DIY Diary” in 2015. After 4 years of working as a teacher and content creator, she left her teaching career behind to pursue her dreams and founded her own studio “Good Things”  to develop creative contents for brands, run workshops and work as a multi-dimensional maker. Duygu moved her studio to London at the beginning of 2021 and today, she organizes workshops and develops contents for her social media channels and brands.

      Duygu, who is known as one of the pioneers of the “do it yourself” trend in Turkey and she hosted more than 100 craft workshops. Punch embroidery, which she started to shoot videos, has become her biggest passion and she has improved herself in this field. Her first book “Modern Punch Embroidery” was published in 2021.

      She has also helped to reach do it yourself trend out more people in Turkey by hosting the 13-episode TV Show “Sen de Yap!” ( You can make it too!)  in 2019.
