Description

Join us at mum-hood for a special brew (not lager, but tea)! event to Find out more about how herbs can help support a happy and healthy pregnancy.

In today’s society it can be difficult to regain our connection to nature. The incorporation of healing plants into our daily lives can help us reconnect with the earth and also encourage our body’s natural rhythms which can become somewhat lost in the workings of the modern world.

Discover how herbs can support both mother and baby through the vital stages of breastfeeding. Take the opportunity to ask any questions or concerns over the safety of herbal medicines and how they really work.

The workshop will include and follow on from a pregnancy class with the lovely Caroline Bragg.

Katie will be looking at;

Elements of pregnancy that herbs can help support:

· Morning sickness

· Energy & fatigue

· General support (also where there is past history of miscarriage)

· Emotions during pregnancy

· Contractions & pain relief

· Breastmilk production

· Breastfeeding

· Supporting the body after birth (also where there has been difficult births)

Introductions to specific useful herbs:

· Ginger

· Shatavari

· Raspberry leaf

· Beetroot

· Fennel

· Rose/Chamomile

This will be followed by Open floor question & answer session. Questions regarding safety and dosage Whilst enjoying a refreshing cuppa !

You won't be going home empty handed either as Katie will be kitting you out withGoodie bags so you can make your own special brew at home!
