The next Psychedelic Yoga & Meditation session will take place on Wednesday 31st August!
Alongside postures and breathing exercises, there will be a guided meditation focusing on the healing power of sound. We will explore the mantras associated with each chakra, encouraging prana to rise from the base of the spine to the top of the head, to harness energy & facilitate altered states of consciousness.
Psychedelic Yoga is designed to explore the common wisdom of psychedelics, yoga and meditation in a supportive and friendly environment. It is based on Complete Yoga, which is suitable for all levels of ability and combines techniques taken from a wide range of yoga disciplines, set to music in a slow and rhythmic style.
The class is led by Phil, who has practised yoga and meditation since 1971. He has studied in the UK and India with the Ramakrisha Vedanta Centre, the Shivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre, the Friends of the Western Buddhist Order and the Rigpa Organisation. He became qualified as a yoga teacher in 2001 through the British Wheel of Yoga and trained in Pranayama Yoga in 2002.
Doors open 7pm for a 7.15pm start and the session lasts for 90mins. Some yoga mats are provided, on a first come first served basis. Please bring your own, if you can, to ensure you can practice with one.
