Hi everyone,
We’re really excited to be hosting a Pitching for opinion pieces and features event with Diyora Shadijanova, gal-dem’s first person editor. This event is for people of colour of marginalized genders only.
When: Monday September 13th
Time: 1pm-2.15pm
Diyora will take through the key things you need to know about pitching comment and features for gal-dem, including
- What makes a good pitch
- When to pitch a comment piece, and when a feature is better.
- What kind of piece gal-dem is looking for
This event is for both people who are pitching on behalf of other people (press officers, for example) and people pitching for themselves.
