This winter, Philip Pullman's compelling Grimm Tales return in a brand new immersive storytelling experience that will plunge adults and children alike into the subversive world of the Brothers Grimm.
An enticingly foreboding shadow is descending over the sprawling Bargehouse, Oxo Tower Wharf on London's South Bank. Here, these delightfully twisted tales, lovingly crafted and theatrically reimagined, will be brought to life before your very eyes.
Do you dare experience these infamous fairy tales, no longer bound to their pages but trailing your footsteps, breathing softly down your neck and unravelling in wonder before your eyes? From The Frog King to Hansel & Gretel, you'll encounter some unforgettable characters from Philip Pullman's book, in a deliciously dark winter experience full of unexpected twists and turns.
GENERAL:
Philip Pullman's Grimm Tales for Young and Old is:
-An approximately 150 minutes (plus wandering time) immersive theatre performance
-For everyone over the age of 8 (parental discretion required for 6-8s)
-An immersive show taking you on a journey through Bargehouse rooms over five floors
A cloakroom is available and you will be asked to check bags in. We advise you to wear relatively warm clothing so you may wish to hang on to your jackets/coats. We also recommend comfortable footwear.

GETTING THERE:
UNDERGROUND
The nearest underground stations to Bargehouse are Blackfriars (Circle and District) – 5-10 minute walk, Southwark (Jubilee Line) – 10-15min walk, and Waterloo (Jubilee, Northern and Bakerloo lines) – 10-15 minute walk.
OVERGROUND
Overground connections go from Waterloo, Waterloo East, Blackfriars and Charing Cross.
Blackfriars is a 5-10 minute walk from Bargehouse, both Waterloo and Waterloo East are approx.10-15 minute walk from Bargehouse.
BUSES
There are good bus links from both London Bridge and Waterloo areas. The RV1 and 381 bus run from London Bridge to Waterloo and stop close to Oxo Tower Wharf.

PARKING
There is no parking on site, however there are 2 car parks within 5 minutes' walk: Cornwall Road car park – underground and open 24 hours; and the street-level Doon Street car park (entrance on Upper Ground opposite the National Theatre). Both car parks are operated by Apcoa Parking UK. We recommend contacting them by phone on 020 7620 0357 to confirm opening and closing times.
