A new collaborative project between Dry the River’s frontman Peter Liddle and Swedish songstress Feivel. Following their longest tour to date – seventy days unbroken throughout the UK, the US and Europe – Dry the River frontman Peter Liddle returned to his family home in Newbury, Berkshire, for some much needed time out of the city. Whilst Dry the River’s 2014 album Alarms in the Heart represents a move away from the harmony-laiden folk elements of their earlier output, at home Peter began to rediscover the joys of playing and writing bare-bones, with an acoustic guitar.

Dream pop singer-songwriter Feivel (Elin Hörberg) made a similar journey. As a long time member of hard touring Swedish indie band Skilla, she took up the Feivel moniker in 2014 as an outlet for her solo work. In early 2015, Dry the River and Feivel toured together in Scandinavia, and in Liljeholm Bay, Stockholm, Peter and Elin performed songs from both of their catalogues in support of Feivel’s.

The two began to collaborate via e-mail and video calls, and from these nascent sessions came the idea of a one-off tour of the Scottish Highlands. The shows will include both Dry the River and Feivel songs, as well as new collaborative material, as both musicians break down their music into its most essential elements in an intimate acoustic setting.
