Organiser
Howard Smith is an enthusiastic amateur pianist, and the author of ‘Note For Note: Bewitched, Bothered & Bewildered’ (via Amazon worldwide).
‘A truly inspirational odyssey.’
— Murray McLachlan, Concert Pianist & Educator, Head of Keyboard, Chetham’s School of Music
A regular student at the famous Chetham’s International Piano Summer School (IPSS), Manchester, Howard is also a performer with the London Piano Meetup Group (LPMG).
His unique memoir, Note For Note, blending theory and practice, describes how, in late middle age and from a standing start, Howard navigated an awkward transition: from the bits and bytes of the computer industry where he worked for over 40 years, to the utterly alien world of 88 keys, harmony and musical performance.
