Description

Taking action. So necessary and yet not always so simple. This June we're offering a dose of positivity with a Session designed to inspire, motivate and help you take action. Whether you want to shake up your company, take the leap you've been thinking of or are just after some positive change more broadly, this evening is all about hearing from some exceptional change generators and celebrating our collective ability to take action.

Dave Buonaguidi, Founder of UNLtd-inc, Artist and Entrepreneur: 'Please just do something.'

Ex-Chief Creative Officer of Crispin, Porter & Bogusky, Co-Founder of the advertising agencies Karmarama and St Luke's, Co-Founder of Two Fingers Brewing and Artist*, Dave Buonaguidi, joins us as our second male speaker. A serial entrepreneur and vocal believer in the power of creativity, you can expect Dave's thoughts on the value of a 'do-er' and the kind of change action can and should lead to.

* There's definitely more but we're running out of space!

Alice Boyle, Founder of Luminary Bakery: 'Empowering women...through Baking.'

Luminary is no ordinary London bakery, it's a social enterprise set up by the rather brilliant and lovely Alice Boyle. Alice and her team train up women to make some of the most delicious baked goods, taking them on a journey of employability and entrepreneurship, breaking cycles of abuse, prostitution, criminal activity and poverty. Join us for Alice's insights and the Luminary action story - the one where aprons and whisks really are powerful things.

Elly, Founder of Bubble, Squeak, Eat: 'Taking action kid-style: what we can learn from a younger generation'

Bubble, Squeak and Eat has a whole new way of tackling food waste; a social enterprise run by kids with the support of supermarkets, local businesses and markets. Join us for Elly's top tips on generating change, all borrowed from London's smallest change-makers that are having a big impact.

As ever, tickets include a cocktail and canapés.

Hope you can make it!

FAQ

  • I have not received my ticket via email. What should I do?

The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services. Alternatively, you can always find your tickets in your Billetto account that you can access in the browsers or the dedicated Billetto app. For more help with this, read here.

  • I wish to cancel my ticket and receive a refund. What should I do?

The approval of refunds is entirely at the event organiser’s discretion, and you should get in contact with the event organiser to discuss what options are available to you. To get in touch with the event organiser, simply reply to your order confirmation email or use the "Contact organiser" form on the organiser's profile. For more help with this, read here.

  • I have registered on the waiting list, what happens now?

If more tickets become available you will be notified (by email) amongst others who have joined the list. Purchasing is on a first-come first-serve basis. For more information, read here.

  • Where do I find a link to an online event?

Check your order confirmation page or order confirmation email. Usually, the organiser of the event provides the details in the order confirmation email or they might send you a follow-up email with a link to their online event. You might also want to read the event description on Billetto where an event organiser should describe how to join the event online. For more information on this, read here.

  • What is refund protection and why would I need it?

Refund Protection provides you with the assurance that if unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances interfere with your ability to attend an event you can claim a refund. For more information on this, read here.
