Description

Kick off the December season with a night of awesome music and dancing! Out of Hand are a vibrant and energetic 6-piece Ceilidh Band, fast becoming a staple of the festival and ceilidh scene. Together they play modern twists on traditional tunes as well as writing their own tunes, combining these to give a thumping, danceable rhythm.

The band members are: Penny Kempson (Fiddle), Stuart Duncan (Whistle), Will Sartin (Mandolin), David Dailly (Rhythm Guitar), Richard Portlock (Bass Guitar), Chris Campbell (Drums). And the caller for this event is the band's resident caller, Rhianwen Davies.

Here they are in action: https://www.facebook.com/OutOf...

For those new to ceilidhs...an English Ceilidh is a lively, energetic, and upbeat version of an English barn or country dance, suitable for all ages.  Bands play exciting music with good rhythmic drive from a variety of musical traditions, including rock, jazz, world, and roots music as well as English, Scottish, and Irish folk music.  A caller guides novices and experienced dancers alike through each of the dances; you can turn up and have fun with no prior knowledge of what is going to happen.  Come with friends, a partner, or on your own, you'll be up and dancing all night if you wish!
