    Description

Our first Open Day of the new year! A day of experimentation through participatory pop-up workshops, sonics and hardware.

The Old Church is partnering with Albion HiFi to bring to you the first in a series of bi-monthly events. Albion Hifi Sound is a historic sound system, restored by a team of volunteers, who see themselves as its custodians, with a view for it to be shared with the community and used to celebrate sound system culture with guest DJs and engineers.

The first half of the day is free, from 11 am to 3 pm. We still need you to reserve a place however, using this ticket link! The second half of the day, from 4 pm to 11 pm is £4 by clicking "Register".

WORKSHOP (11am - 3pm): Form follows FUNction // Hosted by Ekaterina Luzgina
You are invited to join a free workshop during which we will play with colours and shapes, make them dance and jump on the surface of textiles to then become costumes! We will experiment with designing patterns and applying them to fabrics using a basic form of screen printing. The session will culminate in making garments from a variety of textiles that we produced during the first part of the workshop.

    FOOD
Megan Holmes works assisting and leading group cookery sessions in North East London. She will be cooking us something tasty to be enjoyed in the day - first come first served!

Our Open Day will feature artists //

    Whip+Lash
An extended set from newly minted dub and industrial influenced label Whip and Lash featuring label owners Claire (Souvenir), Lawrence (Weird Weather) and Duncan.

    Eye Measure
    Soundcloud
Experimental live sonics programmed on the fly, flitting from delicate to powerful, warm to unsettling.

    Visuals_Ru
Rupert is an artist who develops multi-sensory experiences through lighting and digital imagery. Projects vary from curation, creative stage design, interactive video performance, and documentation.
