Description

Terrarium workshop

Join us to learn how to build your own Corked Jar terrarium. We will be in the gorgeous, open air surroundings at Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses' decked area.

Come and build your own self-sustaining garden in a large corked jar. These gorgeous and spacious hand blown vessels allow you to get artistic and create a miniature landscape using a variety of plants, pebbles and moss to build your own little world. Learn the history of Terrariums, how to care for them and the ideal plants to fill them with. You will be provided with everything you need to create your own terrarium, we will have a range of plants for you to choose from including Fittonia, Calathea, Ivy and Moss. We will guide you through creating your own terrarium which will be all yours to take home at the end of the session.

The workshop will take place in the beautiful surroundings of Brockwell Community Greenhouses. In order to make the event Covid-safe we will be taking the following precautions:

  • Event will be on the outdoor decking, with a pull-out canopy up if the weather requires it.
  • Tables will be of a maximum of 6 people, with 1m+ between each person from seperate households. People from the same households can be seated together (please inform us). There will be 2m+ between each table.
  • Hand sanitiser will be available.
  • There will be no shared equipment. Each guest will have everything they need prepared for them in advance.
  • Gloves will be used when handing out equipment before guests' arrival.
  • Workshop leader will wear a visor or face mask when interacting with guests. They will keep 1m+ from all guests during the workshop.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Limited parking is available in front of the Brockwell Lido and is free for 2 hours. On street parking is also available around the park - we recommend one of the roads off of Dulwich Road e.g. Shakespeare Road (free parking on Saturdays) and taking a nice morning walk (10 mins) through the park to the greenhouses. The Greenhouses are only accessible by foot, walk up from the Lido and follow the signs.

FAQ

  • I have not received my ticket via email. What should I do?

The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services. Alternatively, you can always find your tickets in your Billetto account that you can access in the browsers or the dedicated Billetto app. For more help with this, read here.

  • I wish to cancel my ticket and receive a refund. What should I do?

The approval of refunds is entirely at the event organiser’s discretion, and you should get in contact with the event organiser to discuss what options are available to you. To get in touch with the event organiser, simply reply to your order confirmation email or use the "Contact organiser" form on the organiser's profile. For more help with this, read here.

  • I have registered on the waiting list, what happens now?

If more tickets become available you will be notified (by email) amongst others who have joined the list. Purchasing is on a first-come first-serve basis. For more information, read here.

  • Where do I find a link to an online event?

Check your order confirmation page or order confirmation email. Usually, the organiser of the event provides the details in the order confirmation email or they might send you a follow-up email with a link to their online event. You might also want to read the event description on Billetto where an event organiser should describe how to join the event online. For more information on this, read here.

  • What is refund protection and why would I need it?

Refund Protection provides you with the assurance that if unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances interfere with your ability to attend an event you can claim a refund. For more information on this, read here.
