Description
Join us for an online moving meditation of 108 sun salutations in support of life-saving care to the people of Gaza.
This event will be led by India based yogi and dedicated instructor, Jinu from Ashtavidya School of Yoga. Whether you flow with us, want to support the cause financially, or both — your contribution makes a difference.
The act of doing 108 Sun Salutations has a deeper purpose than simply moving the body. It is an ancient practice designed to cultivate a state of meditative awareness and connect with something larger than oneself. Surya Namaskar, also known as Sun Salutation, is a sequence of 12 yoga poses (asanas) performed in a flowing manner.
This event can have different intentions for different people:
— Setting a hope or intention for the world,
— Feeling empowered to take meaningful action,
— Connecting the individual to the larger whole,
— Cleansing & renewal, creating space for something new.
Where are the funds raised to be allocated?
After a nominal per person fee for Jinu our yoga instructor, all remaining proceeds go towards Pal Humanity.
Dr. Nour and Dr. Nagham are two extraordinary sisters and physicians working on the ground in Gaza, where they founded and lead the globally-supported initiative, Pal Humanity.
Dedicated to serving their community amidst crisis, they have organized extensive field visits and distributed essential aid, including diapers, menstrual and hygiene kits, and infant formula.
