This a ride to take a look at Old Gorehambury House. This is the earliest surviving example of Italian classical architecture in the UK. It lies in the heart of the Gorhambury Estate, which is often closed in mid-winter to allow shooting to take place. But the shooting season is now over, so we can now cycle there.
The ride will start at the Southwark Needle at 9.30am and, to avoid the hills of Hampstead and Highgate, we we cycle up Abbey Road, past the famous Beatles level crossing to West Hampstead and Brent Cross. We will then follow the Dollis Brook route to High Barnet, which, as its name suggests, will involve some climbing.

The ride will finish at St Albans City Station, where there are regular Thameslink services back to London.
