Nudge Knowledge:
2018 London Council Elections Preview

Chaired by Roger Evans, former Deputy Mayor of London, with a panel including former award winning Guardian journalist and On London publisher Dave Hill, and Alex Wilson, former Psephologist at the Conservative Party, this Nudge Factory breakfast briefing will take a look at the upcoming local elections in London.

The event will commence with a presentation looking at summary of the current political situation across London and go on to look at issues such as boundary changes, high profile cases of councillors standing down and new candidates running, how each Party is likely to perform London-wide, possible results in each Borough, and look at key manifesto commitments in possible ‘swing’ councils.

Importantly, in addition to discussing the likely election results, the panel will also analyse what any changes in political control, or intra-party factional control, might mean from a local policy perspective - from planning and regeneration to outsourcing, and from housing to the environment - in different boroughs across the capital.

There will be an extended Q&A session to allow attendees to receive answers to the issues they are most interested in.

Tea, coffee, juice, breakfast rolls and an assortment of pastries will be provided at the start of the event and there will be an opportunity for networking afterwards.
