    Description

We hope that you’ll join us on Friday, November 27st for The Time Out Critics' Choice, Monkey Toast: The Improvised Chat Show at The Proud Archivist!

This month we're thrilled to have welcome special guests, comedian James Gill, and author and journalist, Mike Power!

James Gill hosts the popular Always Be Comedy and has appeared on Top 30 Greatest Disaster Movies (Channel 5), been co-host on Rob Beckett’s Absolute Radio show, done warm-up on The John Bishop Show (BBC One), Catherine Tate’s Nan (BBC One), and Nick Helm’s Heavy Entertainment (BBC Three).

Mike Power is a freelance investigative journalist specialising in drugs and technology. His book, Drugs 2.0 – The Web Revolution That's Changing How The World Gets High, is published in the UK by Portobello Books.

James and Mike will be interviewed by two-time Canadian Comedy Award winner, David Shore. The Monkey Toast Players will then use the interview as a springboard for their improvised scenes. The show will then go back and forth between interview and improv.

Featuring: Paul Foxcroft, Briony Redman, Phil Whelans, Lauren Shearing, and Phil Mann.
