Description

A lifetime of adventure in just one night!

In aid of Hope and Homes for Children

What is Night of Adventure?

It is an exciting, sell-out event that brings together an eclectic collection of first-class explorers, daredevils and pioneers to share their experiences of adventure. The challenge is that speakers are limited to 20 slides to accompany their tales - shown on a huge screen - and each slide rolls forward automatically after just 20 seconds. It’s fast. It’s furious. But ultimately, it’s a chance to be swept away to a world filled with adventure, all without leaving your seats.

Doors open at 6.30pm with the first talk at 7pm. There will be a short interval and a cash ONLY bar is available.

Who's involved?

Our host and co-organiser for this event is Alastair Humphreys, global adventurer, author and Hope and Homes for Children Patron. Alastair launched the first Night of Adventure in 2010 and has since been named as a National Geographic Adventurer of the Year for his pioneering work on the concept of microadventures. Alastair believes great adventures exist on your doorstep, should be affordable and easy to organise.

We have an exciting line-up of speakers confirmed, which we will be revealing soon!

What's the charity?

All funds raised will go to the charity Hope and Homes for Children. Orphanages do not protect children. They harm them. Which is why we are working towards a day where every child can grow up in a loving family. Hope and Homes for Children is a global expert in the field of deinstitutionalisation – supporting children into loving families and preventing family breakdown. With your support we are building a global movement that will eradicate orphanages in our lifetime.

FAQ

  • I have not received my ticket via email. What should I do?

The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services. Alternatively, you can always find your tickets in your Billetto account that you can access in the browsers or the dedicated Billetto app. For more help with this, read here.

  • I wish to cancel my ticket and receive a refund. What should I do?

The approval of refunds is entirely at the event organiser’s discretion, and you should get in contact with the event organiser to discuss what options are available to you. To get in touch with the event organiser, simply reply to your order confirmation email or use the "Contact organiser" form on the organiser's profile. For more help with this, read here.

  • I have registered on the waiting list, what happens now?

If more tickets become available you will be notified (by email) amongst others who have joined the list. Purchasing is on a first-come first-serve basis. For more information, read here.

  • Where do I find a link to an online event?

Check your order confirmation page or order confirmation email. Usually, the organiser of the event provides the details in the order confirmation email or they might send you a follow-up email with a link to their online event. You might also want to read the event description on Billetto where an event organiser should describe how to join the event online. For more information on this, read here.

  • What is refund protection and why would I need it?

Refund Protection provides you with the assurance that if unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances interfere with your ability to attend an event you can claim a refund. For more information on this, read here.
