    Description

    Sanga Sanga invite you to celebrate the November New Moon.

    This will be our last New Moon Ceremony in London this year.

    We will be taking a break to travel and grow and develop our practice, we will be away from January until late Spring.

    WHAT IS A NEW MOON RITUAL?

    A New Moon Ritual is a coming together of people to acknowledge and celebrate the transition of the moon. The New Moon represents death and rebirth; in this ritual we give time to release what does not serve us any more, (such as self doubt or fear) and call in what we need and desire for the coming month (such as focus or self love).

    WHAT WILL HAPPEN AT THE RITUAL?

    Every New Moon Ritual will be slightly different, but will be structured around the main intention of the ritual; which is to release and call in. We do this by taking time to work out what they are, writing them down on paper, and burning them for releasing, and keeping them safe for calling in.

    Other things you can expect are;

    Group meditation, eye gazing, chanting, visualization, gift offering, poem recitals, movement, breathing and sage cleansing.

    Other activities may occur and there may be opportunities for attendees to share something that they have brought or prepared.

    WHY DO A NEW MOON RITUAL?

    Self development: New Moon Rituals (and all rituals for that matter) can be a powerful device for helping us to process difficulties, and reflect on the choices we have made in our lives. It can also help us to become more focused, taking time to think about what we want, and making active decisions that allow us to achieve what we are truly all capable of.

    Connection: This ritual allows you to be seen and supported in both your vulnerability and your power, as well as witnessing others. This type of sharing strengthens and deepens connections with our existing relationships, as well as forging beautiful new friendships. It is also a celebration of life and the wonderful planet we live on!

    Getting in tune with Nature: For centuries our ancestors lived their lives in accordance to the Earths natural cycles celebrating important markers such as the Solstice and the Equinox. All throughout nature we can see the cycle of life repeating itself, as summer turns to winter we see the death of warmth, sun and greenery, and as winter turns to spring we witness the rebirth of our sacred land. The moon also follows such a cycle, and every 2 weeks the moon changes from full to new. By marking out the cycles of the moon with ritual it helps us to realign our body with nature, creating greater flow in our lives. (More will be explained about this on the evening)

    WHO IS IT FOR?

    Anyone who wants to reconnect with nature and each other in a supportive, respectful and playful way. We ask that you come with an open mind and heart. We ask that you reserve judgments about any of the attendees, everyone has the right to be and express themselves however they want. We are open to any and all genders.
