Edinburgh Fringe Comedy Preview Season:

Star of BBC's Scot Squad, Chris Forbes, asked people to describe him in one word. This show is the result. Have you ever wondered what people really think about you? Of course you have. People worry about it all the time, especially the ones who pretend they don't. Through the medium of social networks, Chris asked his friends, family and acquaintances how they would honestly describe him in one word. Tall. Needy. Mutant. These were just three of the answers provided. There were many more. Join Forbes as he explores their meaning.

Since winning the inaugural Scottish Comedian of the Year Award in 2006, barely a year after his first-ever open-spot, Mark Nelson’s mix of dark humour, cutting observations and superb one-liners have seen him firmly established as one of the UK’s biggest-hitting comedy powerhouses.

With likeable manner on stage belying some of the stronger content, Nelson often has audiences laughing at things they know they really shouldn’t be laughing at. A degree in Politics supports his brilliantly topical writing and, although his stand-up is certainly not for the easily offended, the material is intelligent, well conceived and beautifully crafted, all supported by a very confident delivery.

Darren Connell took his debut year at Glasgow Comedy Festival by storm. The first comedian to sell out his show, two further dates were added due to high demand - which also consequently sold out. Riding high on the back of an incredible year, Darren returns to the festival with his second show ‘Trolleywood,’ You might recognise him as the lovable ‘Bobby’ in BBC Scotland comedy ‘Scot Squad’, a role for which he received a Scottish BAFTA nomination. Come join him for something surreal, darkly funny and a little different.

Performances start promptly at the advertised time and, depending on the nature of the event, latecomers may not be admitted until a suitable break in the performance. Doors to the venue will usually open half an hour before the performance.
