The Appalachia ballad form has been liberally sprinkled throughout Naomi Bedford and Paul Simmonds’ recordings to date. For their next project, they have chosen to record a full set.
This will be no museum piece. In keeping with the folk tradition, the songs will be revised and re invigorated, staying true to the heart of the stories. With new arrangements and the power of Bedford’s evocative voice, these legendary songs continuing their transatlantic voyage.
Naomi is an established award-winning Folk musician and BBC Folk award nominee and Paul is one sixth of the long running and well-loved The Men They Couldn't Hang.
