Amnesty International Reading are delighted to welcome Rachel Porter and her fellow musicians for another evening of chamber music in the beautiful Chantry House in aid of Amnesty International. Mozart’s Quintet for Piano and Wind – described by Mozart himself in 1784 as “the best thing I have ever written” - features in this year’s programme, which also includes music by Vivaldi plus some light music from the twentieth century.
Presented by Syrinx (Simon Salisbury ~ flute, Rachel Porter ~ oboe, Peter Foster ~ clarinet, Ben Colyer horn, Bill Fox ~ bassoon) with Andy Spiceley (piano). Tickets include interval refreshments of mince pies and mulled wine.
