Intermediate Mushroom Cultivation Workshop

This intermediate mushroom cultivation workshop is perfect for those who have attended any of Darren’s previous Edinburgh Shroomshops: Mushroom Cultivation for Beginners.

* Purchase also guarantees free entry to our lecture the same evening *

This new workshop has been designed to support previous attendees with their next steps and progression with their mushroom cultivation journeys.

Come explore, and learn new growing techniques; the focus of this session will be bulk growing techniques using grain and wood substrates, how to increase your yields, how to make your own liquid mycelium and spore slurry, plus loads more.

We will also revisit some basics of mushroom cultivation, we’ll use the afternoon to reinforce previous lessons taught and address some of the challenges you may have faced so far.

This will be a hands-on experience and we will cover everything you need to know to get you moving forward.

Darren Springer and Kilindi Iyi will lead the workshop.

Darren is a keen mushroom grower and teacher, for the last seven years he has been growing edible mushrooms. He is Horticulture and Food Enterprise worker and tutor for Organiclea and has translated his home growing experience into a commercial experiment.

Kilindi has been a mycologist for over 20 years and was the individual who taught Darren “how to fish”. He has set up several mushroom growing projects in the United States and around the world. In this workshop, he will share his practical tips and experience to help you successfully grow mushrooms at home.
