On 6th November we welcome two of our favourite Dutch creators. Over the last 20 years, Danny Wolfers, aka LEGOWELT, has created a sound and mythology that’s unmistakably his own. Since first emerging in the late 90s he’s been a key part of the Dutch West Coast scene and a core member of the Bunker/Viewlexx crew. Danny’s output is expansive in style; from gritty techno, freaky house, and tear-jerker electro, to synth-drenched ambient and soundtracks to imaginary films. Yet it all feels sonically tied together at a deep, melodic level. Danny is a world builder. His music is often intertwined with compelling narratives, weird characters, and strange places.Anyone who tuned into our regular lockdown radio shows during 2020 will hopefully be familiar with the music of DOLLKRAUT. Both Dollkraut and the equally admired De Ambassade, are both the work of Pascal Pinkert. With releases on Pinkman, Charlois, and most recently Viewlexx, the Dollkraut sound is a distorted distillation of percussive post-punk, melancholic synthwave, and Dutch West Coast techno. Pascal’s DJ sets are open-minded and unpredictable, but deliver on the same dancefloor intentions that run through his own productions.
