Description
Beethoven - Symphony No. 6 ‘Pastoral’ + Living Programme Note directed by Fraser Trainer
The Living Programme Note, first created in 2014 by Matthew Barley and Fraser Trainer with The Multi-Story Orchestra, is a unique experience that takes place across 4 levels of the multi-storey car park. Building on the success of previous Living Programme Notes for Shostakovich Cello Concerto and Beethoven Symphony no. 7 in 2016, Fraser Trainer and Multi-Story Orchestra are re-uniting to present Beethoven’s famous ‘Pastoral’ Symphony - a “radical work… more purely spine-tingling and life-enhancingly joyful than almost anywhere else in his output” (The Guardian). The musicians of The Multi-Story Orchestra will give the audience a unique encounter with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6, culminating in a full performance of the piece.

Access Bold Tendencies by foot:
Exit out of Peckham Rye station and continue straight ahead through the tunnel with Jenny’s Cafe on your right. Turn left and cross over Rye Lane, continuing straight towards Peckhamplex Cinema, passing Santander on your right. Take the staircase directly next to the cinema on the right to enter Bold Tendencies. There may be a queue for Bold Tendencies but you can pass this with your ticket(s) for the concert. Continue up the staircase until you come out onto the roof of the car park. From the roof, veer diagonally right until you see a ramp which takes you down to concert levels 7/8.

There will no longer be parking available on levels 0-10, however there is very limited Pay and Display on level -01. We strongly advise that you do not arrive by car where possible but if necessary, see Southwark Council’s website for more information on local parking options.
