    Description

-- Movement, Mindfulness and Flow States - A One Day Seminar for Interdisciplinary Movers and Performers--

A one-day science-led workshop exploring in detail the phenomenon of 'flow states' in both performance and non-performance settings, alongside further explorations of additional performance psychology frameworks that can help us to enrich our practice and output as movers, artists and performers.

What is a flow state? How can I access it? Is it always a good thing?
Join us as we ask these questions and more, examining in detail the theories behind the concept of 'flow', dispel common myths and misunderstandings around the subject, dive into experiential exercises to help us to understand the phenomenon from an embodied standpoint, and break down the factors that help us achieve 'flow', as well as the factors that can inhibit it, alongside regular time for group discussion and reflections.
