Description

Set yourself the challenge of conquering the mighty Mount Snowdon for 2017 - we're doing this when the weather should be at it's best!

Mount Snowdon is the highest Mountain in the British Isles outside Scotland and offers a great physical challenge to set yourself. We'll be doing it in a smaller group of just 11 hikers.

We'll also be staying in a country house hostel high up in the mountains with what might as well be it's own private lake, at the foot of Snowdon, plus we'll be providing all food so this is a fully catered trip.

Photos- please note: With the exception of the hostel photo, all photos were taken by the hike leader from previous trips here

Weekend Description

At 1085m Snowdon is the highest mountain in England and Wales, offers great hiking with dramatic views and needs little introduction. It's a serious and tough mountain offering a great challenge and was famously used by Edmund Hillary in training for his 1953 ascent of Mount Everest. On reaching the summit we are rewarded with some spectacular far reaching views.

On Sunday we shall explore a second mountain in the area on a less demanding hike that is also conveniently on our way back to London so reducing our journey home.
