This is an introductory four day, intensive course in Chicago Style Improvisation. Our intensive Level 1 classes are a great way to learn everything you need in order to have a great foundation in improvisation, especially if you have a job that would make committing to a weekly class problematic or inconvenient.

Our Level One class is an accessible introduction to improvisation that will take you through the most basic elements of spontaneity to full blown, multi-character scene work in the space of four days. You'll learn how to properly "Yes And" ideas, you'll create games within scenes and then play them for hilarity, you'll learn stagecraft, active listening and many, many more skills that can be used for comedy, creativity or even around the office. Plus you'll come out of the classes more confident, more creative and with a whole class-full of new pals*.

There is no prerequisite skill level for this class.

What? Monkey Toast Intensive Level 1 Improv Class

When? Monday 9th - Thursday 12th, from 10am to 5pm each day (with an hour for lunch)

Where? The Carpenter’s Arms, 12 Seymour Place, W1H 7NE - nearest tube, Marble Arch

How? Simply pay £200 to obtain the place in the class - which is limited to 12 places.

Who? Your instructor is Monkey Toast's new Artistic Director - Paul Foxcroft.

Tuition is non-refundable and non-transferable. However, if you drop out of the class before it starts and if we are able to fill your spot, you will receive a full refund (minus an admin fee and any fees changed by Billetto). If we can fill the spot before the second class, you will receive a prorated refund (minus the same fees as above). If your spot cannot be filled before the second class or if you drop out after the second class occurs, we will be unable to refund your tuition.

If you are under the age of 18 at the beginning of term, we will need either written or verbal permission from a parent or guardian for you to enroll in the class.
