HJC kicks off British summertime with a warm soulful & jazz performance of Spanish and Latin hits by Monica Guech.

Besame is the project from Spanish singer and songwriter Monica Guech, which offers a soulful performance where Jazz meets Flamenco, elevating music to another level. Her exceptional 4-piece band performs a setlist of songs with distinct and unique arrangements, creating a fusion of different music worlds. These songs are a collection of Spanish & Latin classics combined with jazz music, a fusion that you’ve never heard before.

Monica Guech was born in Liverpool in 1986. At the age of 12, Monica started her musical journey by taking vocal technique and piano lessons. By the time she was 14, she started composing her own songs, attending the Modern Liceu Conservatory in Barcelona and performing in different Gospel Choirs touring around Spain.

London based Spanish/soul vocalist and composer Monica Guech, uses her soulful compositions in a personal way to express her emotions, which is reflected in her lyrics. Her many solo performances and appearances on radio and television entertainment shows like Eurovision Song Contest and The Voice, led to national attention. Monica released her debut album ‘Soulove’ in 2015.

The album features Pop, Soul and R&B music. Monica collaborated with Temps Record to release her first Catalan song ‘HUMANITAT‘, a hymn to humanity, a hymn for love and inspiration to be who we want to be. Currently, Monica is promoting her music project performing a collection of timeless songs and creating a unique fusion of different worlds Soul, Jazz and Flamenco.
