I am so excited to announce our third ever Meet Up!
This evening is dedicated to us working with women and their families, we are all modern midwives, part of the evolution of midwifery practice and promotion of women’s wisdom.
The evening will be informal with wine, pizza and fun entertainment ;-) and there will be time for you to share your experience and advice, enjoy a couple of drinks and some nibbles as well as hear from some brilliant speakers. We are particularly lucky to have some internationally known speakers at this one including:
Professor Basky Thilaganathan - Captivating TEDx Speaker on 'maternal death: a century of getting it wrong' in 2016. He has authored over 250 peer-reviewed publications in indexed journals and represents the RCOG on the UK National Screening Committee. He is also the Clinical Lead for the development of the first dedicated high-throughput NIPT lab in the UK NHS. I can't wait to hear him speak for us!
Tania Boler- Founder of Elvie, who aim to revolutionise women’s health by 'bringing womens technology out of the dark ages'. Tania has worked internationally within the UN supporting various charities on HIV prevention across Africa and Asia. Her company have funded some brilliant research in maternity - which we will hear more about.
Natilla Henry - Head of Midwifery are UCLH will be presenting our moderated discussion. This is a chance for everyone to ask questions, provide answers and create solutions to the difficulties we face.
