Melissa James merges soulful blues-folk with country and gospel. She welcomes her audience on her journey, inviting them to experience the emotions in the stories she tells. Her vocal range travels deep as it does high and she sings with power but will grip you with those softly sung, long and lingering notes that finish with a gentle waiver. But it's the sincerity of her performance that will really grab your attention. She uses her voice to convey the message and that is, in the end, what draws you in.
