Falco of the mighty Mclusky says...
The buffalo bar in highbury is one of my favourite places in London and it was with great sadness that i received the news of its imminent closure. As such, we'll play a set of mclusky songs on the evening of friday, december 12th for two reasons - firstly, to raise money for the bar staff who will be without jobs after new years eve, and secondly as a thank you to the bar manager, Michael, who has been a huge supporter over the years.
The songs will be performed by myself (falco) and jack from mclusky/future of the left with Julia (also of future of the left) on bass and Damien from the excellent St Pierre Snake Invasion singing Jon Chapple's parts and cavorting around the crowd like he was conducting an aggressive survey. Support will be from USA nails, whose debut album came out this year. They are brilliant. Doors will be relatively early, and we expect to be all wrapped up by 10.30pm. Thanks for your time - hopefully we can all have some fun and contribute to this good cause. Tickets are £15 with no booking fee. Apologies for the limited capacity but physics is physics. Theoretically.
ps. In the event of the buffalo bar obtaining a significant stay of execution all profits from the show will be donated to the British Heart Foundation.
