Description
Join us for what promises to be another sell-out extravaganza: The Worshipful The Mayor of Wandsworth Charity Spring Ball 2016 on Friday 13 May 2016, 7pm at the Wandsworth Civic Suite.
Guests will enjoy a drinks reception followed by a sumptuous three-course dinner, quality live entertainment, raffle prizes, a high value auction and a DJ to get us all in a dancing mood.
The event raises money for The Mayor's two chosen charities:
-
RAPt (the Rehabilitation for Addicted Prisoners Trust) works to help people with drug and alcohol dependence, both in prison and in the community, overcome the grip of addiction and lead positive lives, free from drugs and crime.
In 1992 RAPt founded the first drug treatment facility in a UK prison. Today we are the leading provider of intensive, abstinence-based drug and alcohol rehabilitation programmes in UK prisons, and we provide high-quality drug and alcohol services to over 20,000 people every year within the criminal justice system and in the community.
-
Wandsworth Dyslexia Associations.
Dyslexia occurs in people of all races, backgrounds and abilities, and varies from person to person: no two people will have the same set of strengths and weaknesses. It is a life long, usually genetic, inherited condition and affects around 10% of the population. On the plus side, dyslexic people often have strong visual, creative and problem solving skills and are prominent among entrepreneurs, inventors, architects, engineers and in the arts and entertainment world. Many famous and successful people are dyslexic.
The Mayor's Charity Spring Ball offers the borough's leaders, movers and shakers, a chance to host clients, network and do business.
However, most importantly, the evening will be hugely enjoyable and knowing that we are making a difference to someone’s life in our Borough.
