    Description

This workshop is ideal for kids aged 10+ who would like to spend a creative afternoon learning to use a sewing machine to make their own bunting.

They will learn the basics of how to set up and use a sewing machine, including threading, winding a bobbin and practice stitching. They will then be guided through how to make bunting in a choice of fabrics. There will be other trims and decorations for them to personalise their bunting.

All materials will be provided. Kids will get to go home with their finished bunting.

Alice works for The Open University, designing engaging learning experiences. In her spare time she designs children’s wear sewing patterns. Her work has been featured in various publications such as Love Sewing Magazine.

Cost per person - £32.64 (or £38.00 with sewing machine hire) includes bkg fee, water, juice and a biccie*

*Individual allergies can not be catered for, sorry.

    An interesting fact about Alice…

Alice’s first pattern, the Flo Dress, was named after her then 3-year-old daughter. After getting thoroughly frustrated trying to make a commercial pattern, she decided to design her own and has been hooked ever since.
