​SHORT BIOGRAPHY​

Guitarist, teacher and composer Maurizio Baudino graduated at the "G. F. Ghedini" Conservatory of Cuneo with first class honours and attended masterclasses with Maestri Pierri, Hoppstock, the Assad brothers, Marchione, Steidl and Isaac. Maestri Bandini and Puddu guided him through his successful studies for the Second Level Academic Diploma - for which he earned first-class honours. He also studied chamber music at the prestigious Academy “Incontri col Maestro” in Imola. He is a multiple prize-winner and he performs both in solo and chamber ensembles. He published his first collection of gradual pieces for the first year of guitar studies with Glissato publishing and two collections at intermediate level with Sinfonica publishing. Baudino gives regular international masterclasses and has been a member of juries in national and international competitions. Apart from pursuing a successful career as a concert performer, he also teaches classical guitar at the "E. Bianchi" school in Cuneo. A Knobloch Strings Artist, he plays guitars by Alberto Risi and Fernando Mazza.

MAURIZIO BAUDINO in concert

The KCA International Guitar Series is delighted to welcome Italian maestro MAURIZIO BAUDINO to Cornwall on 8-9 May. Maestro Baudino will perform his acclaimed programme, "Postcards". He says:

​The history of music is rich with dreams translated into music scores, visions and imaginings that magically become sounds. In this concert we will travel around the world, letting the music take us out of reality and on a journey, as if in a dream. From the north of Scotland to Southern Europe through France, Italy and Spain, we will encompass the New World from Mexico to Argentina, passing through Cuba on the way...
