Martham Scarecrow Festival

This popular event will be held on Friday 8th, Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th May 2020, 10am - 5pm. As Martham Scarecrow Festival falls on VE Day, there will be a theme, WW2.

Prizes for best Categories 2020;

1st Prize - £100 - Best Interpretation of Theme

2nd Prize - £75 - Most Artistic/Creative

3rd Prize - £50 - Most Original

Yarn Bombing, Bunting, Decorated Properties and Pompoms will be judged the same as previous years but for 2020, winners will be presented with a Rosette.

Due to the WW2 theme set, we will be having a WW2 Fancy Dress Competitions, so keep a look out for posts on our Facebook Page to get more information on how to enter. 

Again, we will be having Garden/Garage sales, so residents please don’t forget to sort out your unwanted items in time & get ready to sell to all the visitors that return to this annual event time & time again!!

There will be a variety of stalls on the village greens over the three days, and not forgetting the Treasure Hunt for all the family to enjoy too.

Martham Methodist Church will be open on all three days holding a flower festival entitled ‘Teddy Bear’s Picnic’ and also serving refreshments.

Gray’s Family Fun Fair will be returning again and will be situated on the Main Green. 

Money raised at this event will be used for village projects. In the past the money has been able to support Martham Community Centre, Martham Youth Club and the purchase of Christmas lights and new seating for the village green.

  • I have not received my ticket via email. What should I do?

    The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services.     The approval of refunds is entirely at the event organiser’s discretion, and you should get in contact with the event organiser to discuss what options are available to you.   • I have registered on the waiting list, what happens now?

    If more tickets become available you will be notified (by email) amongst others who have joined the list. Purchasing is on a first-come first-serve basis. For more information, read here.
