Malika Roots
Bristol's own 9-piece collective Malika Roots blend a unique fusion reminiscent of soul, dub and reggae. Supporting acts such as Laid Blak and Jeremiah Ferrari, they have used heavy grooves right from the onset, amongst a backdrop of moody soul, to encompass intoxicated distant memories and confidently work their way into the Bristol live music scene. Just after the completion of their debut EP, Malika Roots are coming together to use their influences of jazz, funk, reggae and soul to weave an energetic kaleidoscope of sounds, displaying a unique and mesmerising live performance.
The Don Fox Scandal
The Don Fox Scandal are a Funk-Rock-Jazz- band with strong elements of Blues, Ska and Swing. Formed in 2014, their upbeat and irresistibility danceable music has lead to a very busy string of shows in the south of England. Powerful lead vocals and slick lead guitar, often accompanied by saxophone and sweet vocals all lead to a raw and encapsulating performance.
