Diploma Day with Graham Fitch

"Inspirational"
"Fantastic to listen to such great playing and I picked up a lot of tips from Graham""I loved the positive feedback system""Tailored, not general, advice for each player is so helpful""People were friendly and the atmosphere open and welcoming"
- Feedback from previous Diploma Day participants

A full day of masterclasses for adult (18+years) amateur pianists taking, or thinking of taking, a performance diploma at the Associate or Licentiate level (ABRSM, Trinity or LCM) led by acclaimed teacher Graham Fitch.
Six performers will play a portion of their diploma programme (15-20 minutes) on a Steinway D concert grand piano to Graham and a small, supportive audience. Graham will then work with each performer in detail on aspects of their performance. Performers will also have the opportunity to take away a video of their performance for their own personal review afterwards. Frances Wilson (AKA The Cross-Eyed Pianist) will be on hand to give advice on choosing a Diploma, planning a programme, writing programme notes, stagecraft and managing performance anxiety.

Fees (plus any booking fees):
Performer £95; Observers £20

Performer applications are open until Sunday 31st October. Please complete the Performer Application Form with the details of your diploma, date you expect take the exam and repertoire. If performer spots are oversubscribed, priority will be given to First Time Diploma Day performers, London Piano Meetup Group members, those who are taking their exam sooner, and finally on date of application. We'll email all applicants shortly after 31st October to confirm places and arrange payment.

For those who aren't ready to perform yet, or who are considering taking a diploma in the future, observers are very welcome and the day is an ideal opportunity to observe several hours of performances and inspiring masterclasses on diploma-level repertoire, get ideas for potential programmes, programme organisation and writing programme notes, stagecraft, presentation skills and strategies for performance anxiety, plus a chance to meet and chat to other pianists.

Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable; please book by MIDDAY on Friday 26th November. The timetable for the day and details of repertoire to be played will be sent out by email the day before the event.

FAQ

  • I have not received my ticket via email. What should I do?

The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services. Alternatively, you can always find your tickets in your Billetto account that you can access in the browsers or the dedicated Billetto app. For more help with this, read here.

  • I wish to cancel my ticket and receive a refund. What should I do?

The approval of refunds is entirely at the event organiser’s discretion, and you should get in contact with the event organiser to discuss what options are available to you. To get in touch with the event organiser, simply reply to your order confirmation email or use the "Contact organiser" form on the organiser's profile. For more help with this, read here.

  • I have registered on the waiting list, what happens now?

If more tickets become available you will be notified (by email) amongst others who have joined the list. Purchasing is on a first-come first-serve basis. For more information, read here.

  • Where do I find a link to an online event?

Check your order confirmation page or order confirmation email. Usually, the organiser of the event provides the details in the order confirmation email or they might send you a follow-up email with a link to their online event. You might also want to read the event description on Billetto where an event organiser should describe how to join the event online. For more information on this, read here.

  • What is refund protection and why would I need it?

Refund Protection provides you with the assurance that if unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances interfere with your ability to attend an event you can claim a refund. For more information on this, read here.
