Event ended

London Piano Meetup Group July 2018 'Anything Goes' performance event

From GBP 2.50

Location

Date

Jul 14 2018 13:00 - 15:00

Description

TICKETS AVAILABLE FROM 14th JUNE 2018.

An informal performance opportunity for adult amateur pianists in the unique St Mary's Perivale - a deconsecrated church now used as a concert venue, and a real unknown gem of West London. For more details (and concert listings), please go to http://www.st-marys-perivale.org.uk. The venue has a fine Yamaha grand piano, and friends or non-playing audience members are welcome as well.

All standards of player (beginners to advanced) are most welcome, especially those who have not attended one of our events before. We are very friendly! Nerves when playing in front of other people are normal, regardless of how advanced you are or how long you have been playing, and everyone appreciates the challenges of performing in front of others - there is absolutely no judgement or competitive aspect at LPMG events, only mutual support from fellow performers and audience members. After playing for each other we will head to a local pub to socialise and talk pianos over a beverage or two.

Time limit for performers: 7 minutes

Performing slots available: 18

Doors open: 1pm

The London Piano Meetup Group provides a friendly, supportive environment in which to air full pieces, parts of pieces, ‘works-in-progress’, improvisations, own compositions - anything piano related! Instrumentalists or singers with piano accompaniment are also welcome - to arrange any ensembles or accompanists, please go to the group's facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/LondonPMG) and post a message there.

Admission is through pre-bought tickets (which is how we share the costs of venue hire between performers) only, we do not sell tickets on the door; there are also no refunds on tickets. The ticketing link will close 24 hours before the event, so make sure you reserve your spot in time. The LPMG is run by volunteers on a not-for-profit basis, and all ticket sales go towards venue hire and associated running costs of the group's activities.

To be added to the mailing list to be alerted to future events as soon as they are announced, please contact the organisers at londonpianomeetup@gmail.com

FAQ

  • I have not received my ticket via email. What should I do?

The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services. Alternatively, you can always find your tickets in your Billetto account that you can access in the browsers or the dedicated Billetto app. For more help with this, read here.

  • I wish to cancel my ticket and receive a refund. What should I do?

The approval of refunds is entirely at the event organiser’s discretion, and you should get in contact with the event organiser to discuss what options are available to you. To get in touch with the event organiser, simply reply to your order confirmation email or use the "Contact organiser" form on the organiser's profile. For more help with this, read here.

  • I have registered on the waiting list, what happens now?

If more tickets become available you will be notified (by email) amongst others who have joined the list. Purchasing is on a first-come first-serve basis. For more information, read here.

  • Where do I find a link to an online event?

Check your order confirmation page or order confirmation email. Usually, the organiser of the event provides the details in the order confirmation email or they might send you a follow-up email with a link to their online event. You might also want to read the event description on Billetto where an event organiser should describe how to join the event online. For more information on this, read here.

  • What is refund protection and why would I need it?

Refund Protection provides you with the assurance that if unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances interfere with your ability to attend an event you can claim a refund. For more information on this, read here.
