Description
A new dance-based work, site-responsive to Miami Health Club. Inspiration from the placement at Peckham's DKUK will morph into a warped hair dressing routine. Allusion to the Health Club's function will be found in body-pump style dancing and elements of 'fake ballet' and activation of ceramic and textual sculptures made by Paloma Proudfoot.

STASIS is a London and Glasgow based dance collective consisting of Aniela Piasecka, Isabel Palmstierna, Olivia Norris and Paloma Proudfoot. They make dance work for galleries, clubs, theatres, film and outdoor spaces. STASIS’s work speaks of female strength and presence.
About Salon 63
Fourteen artists have been paired with twelve hair & beauty salons along the route of the number 63 bus (Clerkenwell to Peckham) to make site-specific works that reflect upon these vibrant institutions and their crucial role at the heart of the local community.
Salon 63 seeks to explore and celebrate these extraordinary places. This endeavour feels all the more urgent in view of the imminent property and cross-rail developments in both Elephant and Castle and Peckham, threatening the survival of these rich and important sites of community.
